Senior Researcher in Residence
The Center for Advanced Studies offers three professors of the LMU from all faculties the opportunity to be released from their teaching obligations for a period of two semesters. During this time, they have the chance to engage in cooperative research with up to three students or young researchers who are either in the closing stages of their studies or in a more advanced phase of qualification. The program thus constitutes not only an important contribution to the fostering of research, but also to the strengthening of mentoring relationships, particularly in support of the upcoming generation of researchers.
The Center for Advanced Studies makes office space available to participants and supports them in the organization of events relating to the research projects. In addition to this, Visiting Fellows both from Germany and from abroad can be invited for a period of up to three months.
