Prof. Dr. Markus Paulus

Dr. Markus Paulus is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Developmental Psychology and Educational Psychology at LMU Munich. He studied psychology, philosophy and sociology at the universities of Eichstätt und Oulu (Finland). From 2007 until 2011 he was a doctoral student at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour of the Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands), where he received his Ph.D. with a thesis on the neurocognitive mechanisms subserving action perception and imitation in early childhood.
During his stay as a Junior Researcher in Residence at the Center for Advanced Studies, he will examine the origins and the early development of prosocial behavior in human children.
