CAS Aviso
The title is a reference to an important part of newspaper history: "Aviso" is considered to be the second oldest newspaper in the world, after the Strasbourg publication "Relation". Even before the Wolfenbüttel printer and publisher Julius Adolph von Söhne introduced this printed and regularly appearing newspaper to early modern readers in 1609, political news stories had been written by hand and continuously distributed during the 16th century as part of the so-called Avisenschreiberei.
