Dietram Scheufele is the John E. Ross Professor in Science Communication and Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in the Morgridge Institute for Research.

He is one of the leading scholars on public and expert attitudes toward emerging technologies, including nanotechnology, biofuels, GMOs, and human genome editing. His most recent research examines the role of social media and other emerging modes of communication in democratic decision making.

Dietram Scheufele is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from November to December 2017 in the context of the CAS Research Focus "Evidence Based Practice" following an invitation from Prof. Dr. Hans-Bernd Brosius.
