Prof. Dr. Gavriel Salomon

Until his retirement, Gavriel Salomon was Professor of Education Psychology at the University of Haifa in Israel, and directs the Center for Research on Peace Education there.
He has received numerous national and international distinctions for his extensive research work on the topics of technology and education, cognition and learning, evaluation in the education field and peace education. His book "Interaction of Media, Cognition and Learning (1979/1994)" has now become a standard work.
During his visit in Munich in January 2010, Gavriel Salomon will work with Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer and Prof. Dr. Hermann Müller from the Munich Center of the Learning Sciences (MCLS) of the LMU. In conjunction with the MCLS, he will direct a workshop on the subject of technology-supported learning.
