Stelios Michalopoulos is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Brown University.
Michalopoulos' research agenda deals with a growing field in economics, examining the historical origins of comparative development.
He is visiting CAS in November 2014 as part of CAS Research Focus "Mechanisms of Persistence in Economic History" following an invitation from Prof. Davide Cantoni, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Ludger Wößmann. He participates in the conference "The Long Shadow of History - Mechanisms of Persistence in Economics and the Social Scienes" on 21 to 22 November 2014.
