Michael Klausner has been Professor of Economic Law at Stanford Law School since 1997.

The main emphases of his work include the theoretical and empirical studies of corporate governance, the prevention of hostile corporate takeovers and the regulation of the banking sector. His current works focus on the liability of management personnel, collective lawsuits concerning wertpapier transactions and propositions for a market-oriented Community Reinvestment Act.

Michael Klausner will be at the CAS in October 2011 as a visiting fellow as part of the research focus "Law as a Product" following an invitation from Prof. Dr. Horst Eidenmüller, and will give a lecture at the international conference "Regulatory Competition in Contract Law and Dispute Resolution".
