Eduardo Gudynas is Director at the Centro Latino Americano de Ecología Social in Uruguay.

He is best known for his work on the environmental and social impacts of current development strategies in South America, and on alternative paths to sustainability anchored in nature’s rights.

Eduardo Gudynas is a Visiting Fellow in January and February 2019 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Evelyn Dürr in the context of the CAS Research Focus "Models of Change".

On 22 January 2019 he will participate in the panel discussion "How Are we Shaping Change? Perspectives of Social Sciences and Politics" which takes place in the context of the conference "Shaping Change. Epistemologies, Practices, Politics".
