Jeremy Carpendale is Professor of Developmental Psychology at the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University in Canada.

His research interests are the cognitive, the social cognitive and the moral development of children. In 2006 together with Charlie Lewis he published the textbook "How Children Develop Social Understanding" and in 2009 together with Ulrich Müller and Leslie Smith the "Cambridge Companion to Piaget".

Jeremy Carpendale is a Visting Fellow at CAS in July 2016 in the context of the CAS Research Focus "Moral Behavior" following the invitation of Prof. Dr. Markus Paulus. On 5 July 2016 he will give a talk with the title "Origins of Moral Norms".
