Prof. Rogers Brubaker, Ph.D.

Rogers Brubaker is Professor of Sociology at the University of California in Los Angeles.

In his works, Professor Brubaker addresses questions of immigration, citizenship, nationality and ethnicity. Numerous publications of his can be found on these subjects, including "Ethnicity without Groups" (2004) and "Nationalist Politics and Everyday Ethnicity in a Transylvanian Town" (2006).

In October 2011, Professor Brubaker will be at the CAS as a visiting fellow as part of the research focus "Political and cultural Loyalties in modern East Central Europe" upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Martin Schulze Wessel.
