Prof. Marek Žukowski, Ph.D.

Marek Žukowski is Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Insitute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Gdansk.
His scientific interests are quantum physics, quantum Information and Communication Quantum Optics. Marek Žukowski is well known for his contribution to the foundations of quantum physics. For his achievement he was honoured with the Prize of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) - the highest Polish science award - as well as with the Marie Curie Prize of the Polish Academy of Science in 2013.
Between the groups of Prof. Dr. Harald Weinfurter and Prof. Marek Žukowski exists already a long standing cooperation, whichm in fact, was just honoured with the Kopernikus Award 2014. Marek Žukowski is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in April 2015.
