Katherine Wilkinson is associate professor of biological science at San José State University.

She is head of the Neurophysiology Lab at San José State University, whose goal is to discover how sensory muscle information is encoded by the muscle spindle. On the one hand, she wants to understand how the muscle spindle senses muscle stretch and how the sensitivity of the muscle spindle's afferents is controlled, and on the other hand, how environmental conditions and/or disease states affect muscle spindle function.

Katherine Wilkinson will be a Fellow at CAS from July to August 2022 upon invitation of Prof. Dr. Stephan Kröger (LMU).
