Lile Wang is a Flatiron Research Fellow at the Center for Computational Astrophysics in the Flatiron Institute in New York in the group of Phil Armitage.

He is primarily interested in numerical simulations in astrophysics. He develops and refines heterogeneous computation methods for fast real-time thermochemistry and radiation calculations, and applies them to cutting-edge astrophysical simulations, including protoplanetary disks, exoplanet atmospheres, and galaxy clusters.

Lile Wang is member of the CAS Research Group "The Ionisation Structure of Planet Forming Discs and their Atmospheres" of Prof. Dr. Barbara Ercolano.
