Mohsen Shadmehri is Associate Professor of astrophysics at Golestan University in Gorgãn (Iran).
His work is to understand the mechanisms of star and planet formation. During recent years, he mainly constructed models for protoplanetary discs (PPDs) in the presence of magnetically driven winds. This mechanism and photoevaporative winds can strongly affect PPDs lifetimes and planet formation processes.
Mohsen Shadmehri is member of the CAS Research Group "The Ionisation Structure of Planet Forming Discs and their Atmospheres" of Prof. Dr. Barbara Ercolano.
