Prof. Omar Saleh, Ph.D.

Omar Saleh is Professor at the Materials Department and Director of the Biomolecular Science and Engineering Program at the Univeristy of California in Santa Barbara (UCSB). The Saleh Group studies the physics of soft matter systems, with a focus on the active and passive micro-mechanics of biomolecules and polymers. Omar Saleh is a Visitng Fellow at CAS in the winter semester 2017/2018 and summer semester 2018 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Tim Liedl. On 14 December 2017 he will give a lecture about "Rubber Elasticity of Genes".
