Silke Robatzek is Group Leader at The Sainsbury Laboratory in Norwich, UK.

She is a leading scientist in cell biology research of plant immunity. She has made key discoveries in vesicle-mediated transport of plant immune receptors. Currently she tries to understand how vesicle transport facilitates the detection and blocks infection of potentially plant pathogenic microbes.

Silke Robatzek is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from October 2017 to January 2018 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Martin Parniske. She will give a talk with the title "Cellular Basis of Immunity" at CAS on 6 December 2017.
