Markus Rachke is Professor of Physics at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

He is interested in linear and nonlinear optical spectroscopy at surfaces and of nanostructures. The research in his group is centered around the development and unique applications of nano-optical spectroscopies that enable both nanometer spatial and femtosecond temporal resolution.

Markus Raschke is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from September to October 2017 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Matthias Kling. On 16 October he will present his current research. His talk has the title "Ultrafast Nanoscopy: Imaging Structure, Function, and Dynamics of Matter in its Natural Length and Times Scales".
