Prof. Peter Mora, Ph.D.

Peter Mora is Senior Consultant at the McData Consult Centre in Adelaide.
He his world renowned for his pioneering work on Full Wavefield Inversion (FWI), and for his research on the physics of earthquakes using particle simulation models. His research comprises exploration geophysics (modeling and imaging/inversion), earthquake source simulation, petrophysical aspects of earthquake ruptures, microphysics simulations of rocks, and many other related topics in computational geophysics.
On 10 July 2018 he will give a lecture on "Numerical Simulation Studies of Earthquake Forecastability". Peter Mora is a Visiting Fellow in June and July 2018 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Heiner Igel.
