Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics

Kevin Mayo is Professor of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics at the University of Minnesota.

His research in structural biology is aimed at understanding cell adhesion at the molecular level where protein-protein and protein-carbohydrate interactions ae critical. Biomolecular conformations and interactions are analyzed primarily by using high resolution NMR spectroscopy, circular dichrosim spectropolarimetry and computer modeling.

Kevin Mayo is a Visiting Fellow in October and November 2019 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Christian Weber. On 9 December 2019 he will give a lecture on "Design of Therapeutics Targeting Chemokines and Galectins in Cardiovascular Disease and Oncology".
