Prof. Michael Kent, Ph.D.

Michael Kent is Professor of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the Department of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis.

His research interests include clinical and technical aspects of radiation oncology and targeted therapies. He is involved in studies on: 1. Development of PET imaging biomarkers to predict improved glioblastoma radiotherapy using a novel H-NOX oxygen carrier, 2. Enhancing of natural killer immunotherapy with first-in-dog trials of inhaled recombinant IL-15 and super agonist IL-15 in naturally occurring canine cancers, 3. Machine learning to predict organ motion in dogs undergoing radiation therapy , and 4. Using CDA technology to detect cancer and assess remission status in dogs.

Michael Kent is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from May to July 2022 upon invitation of Prof. Dr. Johannes Hirschberger (LMU).
