Prof. Dr. Stephan Baier

Stephan Baier is Professor of Number Theory at Georg August University Göttingen.
His specialist research interests lie in the field of analytical number theory. He is concerned, for example, with prime numbers in quadratic sequences, with sieve methods and with rational points on elliptical curves.
In October 2011, Stephan Baier will be at the CAS as a visiting fellow following an invitation from Ulrich Derenthal (CAS Senior Researcher in Residence 2011/12). He will lecture at the Mathematical Institute of the LMU in the graduate seminar "Algebraic Geometry".
