Philippe Vellozzo is Executive Director of Communication at the University of Bordeaux. As such he is responsible for the public profile of the University of Bordeaux and for all its internal and external communications, including those concerning sensitive scientific or political issues such as Covid-19 or climate change. From 2014 to 2019, he was Director of Communication at the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) in Paris. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Mind (Institut Jean Nicod, Paris, 2006).

He is member of the CAS Research Group "Persuading under Uncertainty: Challenges and Norms of Science Communication" of Prof. Dr. Ophelia Deroy and a Visiting Fellow at CAS from May to July 2022.
