Kati Röttger is professor at the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Amsterdam.
Her research topics include image cultures and globalization, politics of performance, spectacle and spectacularity in the 19th century. Publications include Theater zwischen Markt und Politik. Zur Spektakularisierung europäischer Kultur im 19. Jahrhundert (2009) and Gender & Performance (2012).
Kati Röttger is a Visiting Fellow in January 2019 upon invitation from Dr. Berenika Szymanski-Düll (CAS Junior Researcher in Residence 2018/19).
