Jonathan Osborne is Professor of Science Education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education.

His research focus is a mix of work on policy and pedagogy in the teaching and learning of science. In the policy domain, he is interested in exploring students' attitudes to science and how school science can be made more worthwhile and engaging - particularly for those who will not continue with the study of science.

He is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from January to March 2016 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer (Senior Researcher in Residence 2015/16). On 7 March 2016 he will give a talk with the title "Science Education, Culture and Scientific Reasoning".
