Prof. Dr. Jochen Oltmer

Jochen Oltmer is an historian and migration researcher at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at the University of Osnabrück.
His research focuses on the German, European and global forms of migration from the late 18th century until the present. His latest publications include Migration vom 19. bis zum 21. Jahrhundert (2016) and Globale Migration. Geschichte und Gegenwart (2017).
Jochen Oltmer is a Visiting Fellow in January 2019 upon invitation from Dr. Berenika Szymanski-Düll (CAS Junior Researcher in Residence 2018/19).
