Peter Lehnardt is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Hebrew Literature of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva.
He currently focuses on the use of the story of the binding of Isaac in the Hebrew liturgical poetry from Christian Europe in its different aspects: recollection, narrative and liturgical argument.
Peter Lehnardt is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in July 2016 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Eva Haverkamp. On 29 June 2016 he will give a talk with the title "Lied und Klage bei Juden und Christen. Reflektionen zur Erfahrung mit Gewalt in Synagogaler Poesie und im Nibelungenbuch".
