Prof. Douglas Lavin, Ph.D.

Douglas Lavin is Associate Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University, Boston, USA.

His specialist research areas include Aristotelian practical philosophy and moral philosophy. His paper published in 2004 entitled "Practical Reason and the Possibility of Error" is intended to be the first in a series of articles addressing the conditions of rational agency.

Douglas Lavin has been invited by Dr. Julia Peters to be a visiting fellow at the CAS in June/July 2012. During his stay, he will make an appearance as the keynote speaker at the conference "Pluralism in Action Explanation" organized by Julia Peters and will participate in an internal workshop.
