Prof. Christian Kravagna

Christian Kravagna is Professor of Art History at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
The emphasis of his work includes post-colonialism, global modernity, migration, representational and institutional critique, as well as visual culture. Alongside his research and teaching activities, Christian Kravagna also curates exhibitions of the "Kunstraum Lakeside" in Klagenfurt.
Christian Kravagna will be in Munich in May 2012 upon invitation from Prof. Burcu Dogramaci (CAS Senior Researcher in Residence 2011/12). On 22 May, he will give a lecture on the topic of "Reinheit der Kunst in Zeiten der Transkulturalität. Modernistische Kunsttheorie und die Kultur der Migration".
