Philosophy

Felix Koch is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Freie Universität Berlin. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University and held fellowships at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Universität Zürich Center for Ethics.

Felix Koch´s research is in moral, political, and legal philosophy. Among his publications are Analytische Rechtsphilosophie (edited with A. Mohseni and D. Schweikard, Berlin, 2019) and ‚Consent as a Normative Power‘, in The Routledge Handbook of the Ethics of Consent (London, 2018). In his more recent works, he examines the various ways in which the obligations of persons can be of their own making, the relation between chosen and unchosen obligations, and the epistemic significance of personal relationships.

Felix Koch is member of the CAS Research Group "Relationships in Transition: Normative Challenges" of Prof. Dr. Monika Betzler.
