Rüdiger Görner is Professor of German with Comparative Literature at the Queen Mary University of London.

His research interests are European Romanticism, Hölderlin's aftermath, Nietzsche's aesthetics, the history of Anglo-German cultural relations as well as the life and work of Oskar Kokoschka.

Rüdiger Görner is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in May 2016 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Oliver Jahraus (Senior Researcher in Residence 2015/16). He organizes together with Oliver Jahraus the international workshop "Thomas Mann. Ein Forschungskolloquium" on 10 May 2016. He will also participate in the international conference "Sache/Ding. Eine Ästhetische Leitdifferenz in der Medienkultur der Weimarer Republik" from 19 to 21 May 2016.
