Christopher Gill is Emeritus Professor of Ancient Thought at the University of Exeter.

His research area is ancient philosophy or thought, especially ethics and psychology. His most recent books are "Marcus Aurelius Meditations Books 1-6", translated with an introduction and commentary (Oxford University Press, 2013) and "Naturalistic Psychology in Galen and Stoicism" (Oxford University Press, 2010).

He is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in February 2015 upon invitation from Dr. Philipp Brüllmann (CAS Junior Researcher in Residence 2014/15) and will give a lecture on "Ancient Healthcare and Modern Wellbeing" on 23 February 2015.
