Prof. Michael Cole, Ph.D.

Michael Cole is Professor of Art History at Columbia University New York.
His research interest is focused on Italian art of the Early Modern Period. Michael Cole's latest works, for example "Ambitious Form. Giambologna, Ammanati and Danti in Florence" and "Italian Renaissance Art" (both 2011), belong among the standard works in this field.
During his stay at CAS from August until October 2012 following an invitation from Prof. Dr. Ulrich Pfisterer Michael Cole will give a presentation on 22 October on "Die Ontologie des Engels in der italienischen Malerei".
