Amanda Boetzkes is Professor of Art History at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.

In her research, Amanda Boetzkes is concerned primarily with questions related to the interrelationships between science and art. In her book "The Ethics of Earth Art", published in 2010, she describes how the discourse on environmental questions, which had previously been a predominantly scientific one, reached a wider audience through the Earth Art movement. She is currently working on a book project on the use of refuse in contemporary art.

Amanada Boetzkes will be in Munich in July 2013 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Christof Mauch as part of the CAS research focus "Waste and Society".
