Dr. Isa Blumi

Isa Blumi is Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor of Turkish Studies at the Stockholm University.

Isa Blumi researches societies in the throes of social, economic, and political transformation. His latest work covers the late Ottoman period and successor regimes, arguing that these events are part of process that interlinks the Balkans, the Middle East, and the larger Islamic world.

Isa Blumi is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from January to February 2018 in the context of the CAS Research Focus "Representing Migration" following an invitation from Prof. Dr. Christoph Neumann. Together with Christoph Neumann he will organize the conference "Legacies of Post-Imperial Migrations from World War I to the Cold War", on 29 and 30 January 2018.
