Prof. Katherine Blouin, Ph.D.

Katherine Blouin is Associate Professor for Classics and History at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
Her work centers on the socio-economic and environmental history of Roman Egypt. Katherine Blouin’s research interests include the Nile Delta, multiculturalism, cultural identities, as well as environments, peoples, and periods that are commonly considered to be ‘marginal’.
Katherine Blouin is a Visiting Fellow in February 2019 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Karen Radner and Dr. Robert Schiestl in the context of the CAS Research Focus "Settlements between Diversity and Homogeneity".
She will participate in the conference "Abandoned Settlements: Discontinuity and Identity" on 13 to 15 February 2019.
