Prof. Dr. Thomas Adam

Thomas Adam is Professor of Modern History at the University of Texas at Arlington.
His current research is focused on the history of philanthropy in Germany since 1800, the financing of university study in the USA and Germany between 1800 and 1945, and the image of America in Europe in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Thomas Adam will be a visiting fellow at the CAS in May 2012, thus following an invitation fro Dr. Charlotte Lerg as part of the CAS research focus "Transatlantic Cultures".
