Dr. Stefan Gottlöber

Visiting Fellow, CAS Research Group "Complex Views and New Clues of the Universe"

Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam

Astrophysics

Stefan Gottlöber is a research associate in the Cosmography and Large-Scale Structures group at the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics in Potsdam. He works on determining the mutual spatial relationship of galaxies. He develops methods to analyse their spatial distribution and to understand how the local universe was formed - how the dwarf galaxies in the Local Group were formed, and what influence the "cosmic web" has on the shape of our immediate cosmic environment.

Stefan Gottlöber is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from October to November 2022 upon invitation of Dr. Klaus Dolag and will join the CAS Research Group on "Complex Views and New Clues of the Universe".
