Evidence Based Policy Advice: How it is Produced and Used
The last years have seen an increasing public interest in evidence based policy advice. However, it is unclear how much of this advice is actually taken up by policy makers, and how successfully these recommendations are implemented. This workshop will bring together stakeholders involved in the generation or implementation of evidence based policy advice. Participants will discuss the state of affairs in different countries (including the UK, the US, and Germany) and in different policy domains (including innovation, health, and education).
Keynote speakers: Hilary Hoynes (UC Berkeley/US Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking), Henry Overman (LSE /What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth).
