Renormalisation of Classical Spin Systems
Roland Bauerschmidt gives an overview of recent results on classical spin systems. Spin systems are prototypical models for phase transitions. Their complex behaviour has turned out to be partially accessible from a large variety of complementary points of view, and has made them objects of intense mathematical study. He provides an impression of these, with focus on rigorous renormalisation as a powerful method.
