Prof. Matthäus Zepf, Ph.D.

Matthäus Zepf is Professor of Physics at Queen’s University Belfast, Great Britain.
He has been acclaimed worldwide as an expert in the field of laser and high field physics. He has made decisive contributions particularly in the research fields of "High harmonic generation on solid state body surfaces" and "Ion acceleration".
Matthäus Zepf will be at the CAS as a visiting fellow from the beginning of December 2009 until the end of February 2010. During his visit in Munich, he will work at the LMU Excellence Cluster Munich-Centre for Advanced Photonics (MAP) in the group led by Prof. Dr. Dietrich Habs and Prof. Dr. Ferenc Krausz.
