Stefanie Schüler-Springorum has been the Director of the Institute for the History of the German Jews in Hamburg since 2001, and will now take over the Center for Antisemitism Research in Berlin. She has also been the Chairman of the Academic Work Group of the Leo Baeck Institute since 2001.

The Hamburg historian's specialist research areas include German-Jewish history, gender and family history as well as scholarly biography. She is also coeditor and of the journal "Werkstatt und Geschichte".

In September 2011, Stefanie Schüler-Springorum will be at the CAS as a visiting fellow upon invitation from Dr. Mirjam Zadoff (CAS Junior Researcher in Residence 2011), Department of History. The two historians will work together on the project of Mirjam Zadoff: the biography of Werner Scholem.
