Tilottama Rajan is Professor of English at the University of Western Ontario as well as Interim Director of the Center for Theory and Criticism, of which she was the founding director from 1995 until 2001.

Since her debut work "Dark Interpreter: The Discourse of Romanticism", Tilottama Rajan has been counted among the leading figures of international romanticism research. She is also concerned with phenomenology, deconstruction and poststructuralism.

Tilottama Rajan will be at the CAS as a visiting fellow in April and May 2012 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Christoph Bode.
