Simone Müller is Academic Councilor for History of North America at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.

Her research focuses on global and transnational history, social and cultural history, the United States in global perspective, history of science and technology as well as media studies.

Simone Müller is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from March to July 2015 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Christof Mauch as part of the CAS Research Focus "Waste in Environment and Society". On 23 April 2015 she will give a lecture at the Rachel Carson Center in the context of the Lunchtime Colloquium on "Contamination Guaranteed: America's Hazardous Waste in Global Perspective".
