Béatrice Lienemann is an academic staff member at Goethe University Frankfurt with the Chair for Ancient Philosophy held by Friedemann Buddensiek.

Her specialist research areas are Ontology and Language Philosophy in both ancient and analytical philosophy, the history of political thought and political theory, as well as the authors Plato, Descartes and Frege.

In the winter semester 2011/12, Béatrice Lienemann will be at the CAS as a visiting fellow following an invitation from Professor Oliver Primavesi and Professor Christof Rapp. She is part of the work group of the CAS research focus "The Physics of Free Will" and will focus particularly on the problem of attention in the case of Aristotle.
