Prof. Dr. Peter Berger

Previous Visiting Fellow

Peter Berger is Associate Professor of Indian Religions and the Anthropology of Religion at the University of Groningen.

His main interests are anthropology of religion, history of anthropology, anthropological theory and methodology, values, cosmology, ritual, food, social structure, Indian tribal societies and cultural change.

He is a Visiting Fellow at CAS from April to May 2015 upon invitation from Prof. Dr. Frank Heidemann am CAS. He will give a lecture on "Vier Rituale, drei Lokalgemeinschaften und ein König. Ethnizität, Religion und Politik im indischen Hochland" at 19 Mai 2015.
