Evolution of Biological Traits
This workshop focuses on genome comparisons between (closely related) species with different behavior, morphology, organ function, or sex. The aim is to foster an interdisciplinary forum, in which biologists contribute insights into their studies of closely related species with widely differing traits, while bioinformaticians describe the technological developments in the genomic comparisons between orthologous groups.
Participants among others: Leif Anderson (Uppsala), Detlef Arendt (EMBL Heidelberg), Andrew Clark (Cornell), Susana Coelho (Station Biologique Roscoff), Vincent Colot (ÉNS Paris), Asher Cutter (Toronto), Heidi Fisher (University of Maryland), Alex Harkess (Miami), Sanwen Huang (Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shenzhen, China), Felicity Jones (Friedrich Miescher Laboratory, Tübingen), Henrik Kaessmann (Heidelberg), Artyom Kopp (UC Davis), Michael Lenhard (Potsdam), Susanne Renner (LMU), Alejandro Reyes (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute), Rod Wing (University of Arizona), Itai Yanai (NYU).
